cant get rear hydraulic cover off.Seems to be a locating pin holding it not sure?does any one know of something i may have over looked?

Oh does that sound familar. I assume you are refering to the top cover under the seat, if so I'll betcha if you check about halfway back on the right hand side you will find 1 more bolt very well concealed by an up right piece of the casting.

Seems I have been there too, now that you mention it. Glad I stopped prying before I broke something and had one more look for "one more bolt".

I don't have a 5 but do have it's little brothers. If you are talking about the cover that the seat mounts to, there is nothing but a big gasket that someone may have put sealer on. The hyd system under that cover is independent to everything in the tractor housing with the exception of the inlet/outlet ports on the side of the housing, the perimeter mounting bolts, and this gasket. And yes, there may be a positioning pin or 2 which may be rusted; but my money would go on a stubborn gasket....been there done that.
