Hey everybody,
today has been a day of news that is so shocking. A town just south of us had 4 execution style murders, a town to the east of us had a head on firery car crash, another town east of us had a armed bank robbery. Is there any good news out there? I'm really wondering what is wrong with everyone, crazy people doing all of this stuff, people driving like maniacs on the highway,(Yes I do still think that the speed limit should have been left alone). I would like to ask for all to pray for less bad news, more cooperation, more love in the world and people getting along. I don't think thats a unreasonable request and it should be desirable for all to see more peacefull times. I know I sure would like to listen to the news and hear more positive news. Thanks

Ha! there is some good news for me; I woke up alive today!, so today is my lucky day.
As for the "10:00 PM PANIC PEDDLERS", being interested in farming, avaition and in the construction business I have heard them make soooo many misstatements that I don't believe anything they say anymore. They are in the same bus. as the rest of us; the money making business!
As for me, I like to read the paper. At least you have time to decipher the bias and make up your own mind. My prayers are with you all too. Larry

Yea BobMo,
I do realise that we are living in selfish, greedy, and self centered times. I would like to think that changes could be made however. I do think the key factor in most of it is naturally and really no big surprize is greed.
If you don't believe that just take a look at gas prices and steel prices. I guess I really had this false image that as time went on things would get better and improvements made. WE are definatly not seeing much of that. Quality control is in the crapper and everyone is out for a quick buck. Don't get me wrong, I like $$$$ just as much as the next guy but I don't let it rule my life like to many do. You have to remember the bible verse that says "the love of money is the root of all evil", my ex wife has the problem. You know we come into this world with nothing and we will leave with nothing, its so sad that so many don't even the path to heaven.
Anyway, this shooting deal has kinda hit home in a round about way, I don't know the people but a friend of mine knows one of the parents of one of the kids that was murdered. Anyhow, everyone remember these families in your prayers, that the one's responsible can be brought to justice.
thanks!

"if it doesn't bleed it doesn't lead" Seriously, as a reformed news junkie(I even considered journalism at MU) I've found that I'm much better off to Ignore most news sorces, Take the remote, sit down to the evening news and flash all three (ABC,NBC,CBS), They even manage to keep what they consider the major stories in the same order! AND locals!!! for somebody who makes their living using the english language what a bunch of dummies. get hysterical and sell the story!Tragedy has always been the human condition, just never before covered 24/7 in living color by so many with so little restraint. I read many prof. jounals, several mags. (Smithsonian, Natl Hist. Trail rider, readers digest,Am Rifleman, and articals refered to on the net by others). I'm reasonably well informed, the world goes on, and I don't have to wade thru the mental mud. my prayers go with you.

Gary;

It is sensationalistic journalism. Tradegy brings in more viewers. I wont mention the bad news here in southern NM. The good news is we are 1/2" above normal for rainfall and there is water flowing in the Rio Grande. Plus we are in reasonably good health.
