Oil coming out of exhaust

I have a Ford 4400 and it has some oil coming out the exhaust,what is causing this? I am thinking that maybe a head gasket? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

this is pretty common with diesels that idle for long priods of time. try to work the tractor hard for a few houres (some kind of tilling or hard pto work), and see if it helps. if the nature of your work is long idling periods, double your oil changes.

what kind of oil? fuel oil or engine oil? if it's a diesel and cold out this is real common for diesels to do this it's bleeding when the fuel don't all burn up due to low temps and engine not getting hot or worked hard

Agreed, if it is diesel 'slobbering', it will eventually lead an early death of the engine - unburned fuel choking up the works, washing off lubricant, diluting oil, engine too cold, etc. - due to excessive wear rates
Engines were designed for working, not bumbling around at low load/speed.
If you continue in this manner the bores will likely get glazed and make things worse.....
