I'm going to replace the engine in my B with the engine out of an old hay baler,,it's an International BU2-55, the guy says it's the same that is in a C and it appears that it will all mate up but my question is will the clutch from the B mate to the flywheel or will the flywheel from the B match the crankshaft in the baler engine?

You'll probably have to tear into it to answer those questions. One thing to look at is a pilot bearing hole in the baler engine. It may not have one.

also it being a power unit it may not be notched at the front of engine on the left side where the steering shaft goes. Tom

Well I called the guy and it does have a pilot hole but he thinks that maybe the notch might not be as deep as in the B. I think I could overcome that probem with a sleve and shaft and it would just move the u-joint out a little,,,or maybe grind into the block with a die grinder,,,any suggestions?

Craig, I just went down to shop and looked at the blocks on my B and A, I don't have a C to compare with, but it looks to me that the shaft out of the steering sector is pretty well fixed in it's present location because the u-joint that is already on the steering shaft is before the short shaft in the sector. You may be able to grind this out and make it look decent. Gene B would be the man to get ahold of on this question. Good luck and e-mail me direct if I can help on the B. Tom
