My 135 had water in the hyd oil and would not raise with load. Changed oil and still not raising with load. I took the top off to look at the lift cylinder and it was scratched but not that bad. The filter was somewhat clogged but seen worse. Please help if you can - THANKS p.s. How do I get the pump out If that is the problem.

I can't figure where my Filter is for my pump on the Massey 135. Where is it located is it under the top plate? Mark H.

Remove one of the side inspection covers, start tractor and raise both lift levers, use a light to look inside and inspect for steady leaks from above and/or spraying oil from anywhere. If you don't find any steady leaks it's likely the pump is the problem. The Ferguson system uses the large spring behind the seat to control the hyd pressure for draft control, and if the spring in not adjusted properly the hyd seal allows pressure to leak if parts are worn. You'll see oil running down from this area if this is a problem. Visit Big Dean's website for a wealth of tips.
