I have removed the wheel, cleaned the area, lossened the seal cover [ 4 bolts ] moved the seal cover back. Now there is end play, not much in the axle, will this [ axle ]pull out so I can change the leaking seal or am I in for a major job here. Easy on me this is new to me. Thanks Al

Al, You say you've removed the 4 bearing retainer bolts. Now look underneath the tractor just behind the axle & you'll find a "dome-shaped" bearing cap attached with 4 bolts also. Remove this cap. Then you'll find other end of axle with a bolt in it. Remove bolt & either 1 or 2 spacers. Axle should pull out now. P.S. - if your tractor has the planter gear in place of the "dome-shaped" cover, I believe if you remove bolt holding it, then axle will come out. Hope this helps!!!

I will let some 140 experts have this, but I think you should be able to remove the seal with what you have already taken apart.
