McCormick 'Super C' questions

Not sure if this is the right forum to ask this, but here goes: A friend has recently acquired a McCormick 'Super C' tractor, and can't tell how to check fluids in trans & diff. No dipsticks anywhere.

So the questions are: (a) How do you check fluid levels and (b) How do you add fluids, if needed?

If I'm asking in the wrong place, my apologies. (But a suggestion or two on where I might find the info would be appreciated!)

Thanks in advance ..
John A (Tx)

Brought a Super-C a year ago on a whim at a auction. My local I-H dealer had a manual for about 18 bucks. You need to get one.

The info is sure appreciated. Case/IH, eh? I had no idea who McCormick had "evolved" into.

Thx again

"Clint" has it right. There is only one oil level plug for transmission and differential. When you drain it, be sure to have a big bucket, as it holds five gallons of 90 or 140 wt. oil.

A good book to get would be the Owners Manual for this tractor.
You can get one at your local Case/IH dealer.

the fill plug for the transmission and rearend is on the top platform if your sitting on the seat its just to the left hand side of the gear shifter. the transmission oil and rearend oil level plug is located on the right rear side of the transmisson case

There should be a plug on the left side. Just in front of where the fender bolts on. That is the level plug. On top, right in front of the shifter there is a plug to add fluid. At least thats were they are on my A.

Thanks, but do the trans & diff use a single reservoir? (You only mentioned one plug for level & one for fill, so I'm guessing it's a single reservoir, kinda like on an 8N.)

It is on the super A and 150 that I have. I am only assuming that a C has the same setup. My mauals are in the shop, 20 miles away else I could scan the page and post it.
