I have IH 2404 with a belly more and loader. I wanted to fix up the tractor remove the mower and add a blade only to discover their is no 3 point hitch, seem it was removed many years ago to add a belly mower and now is gone. I have called every where I know and all the places suggested by tractor places but no luck. what can I do now ?

The tractor need lots of work clutch is bad and and allot of things are held together with duct tape and bail wire nothing that can't be fixed the thing runs very good and lifts well I used it to move 3 loads of rock but need a blade Is this the kind of tractor that a blade works good on ?

should I sell it and look for another ?

I am not an IH specialist, but I think the 3ph parts would be the same on B414,424 and 444s as well. Have you contacted Wengers in Pennsylvania for used parts?

Don, I have a 444 and that lift box and arms are different from mine. I don't think the upper arms off of a 444 would work, but I could be wrong. Those could be special industrial arms for a specific purpose.

2404 is the industrial version of a 404 as was already pointed out. Likely didn't come with a three point hitch. I don't know if a three point from a 404 would fit it or not, but that is what I would look for. You may need to find somebody who has a 404 and go look at it to see if they are identical enough to interchange those parts.

Have you tried looking for a 3-point hitch for a 404? The 2404 is (I believe), the industrial version of the 404, and 404 3-points are probably a lot more common than 2404 three points.

Maybe someone else can verify that a 404 unit should fit.

Yes I know the 404 is the same and all the part dealers know they are the same but still no luck finding one. it has had one on it at one time and still has the short lift arms and the mount for the top arm but no hitch arms.
I am not sure what the teck term of them are
Is it worth having them made ? can that be dun ?
who could do it?
Does any one have a picture of what they should look like
