I know very little about tractors. I've run across a 1998 Belarus 8011L with a solid front-end loader attachment. The tractor has 375 hrs. Owner is asking $10,000. My Used Tractor Guide says this 1998 model is worth about $6500; while same model in 1997, a year older, is worth about $12,000. Is this a misprint or is something wrong with later model Belarus 8011L tractors?

Just my opinion but avoid the belarus tractors. Poor quality and hard to get indivial parts you have to buy whole assemblies to get say one seal. Spend a little more and get an american tractor of the color of your choice. You will be much happier in the long run.

The 8011L is part of the new generation tractors with the sloping style hood. It should have the newer style hydraulics that don't leak and the 14 speed snchro transmission. The "L" designation means it is a low profile model. the 8011 series is only two wheel drive and has no cab. Both of these are big minuses in my book, but I guess it all depends on what you are looking for. The 4WD and cab cost very little more in a Belarus. $10,000 seems a little high without these features, however 375 hours is almost brand new. I would call a Belarus dealer first and see what a new one goes for.
