We are in the market for a different 4-wheel drive tractor. We have been looking at Ford 4282s, 4482s and 4682s because they fit more in the price range that we are looking for. We have always had Case Tractors. I would love to hear all of your comments as to why you would choose one over the other or other things to consider (pros/cons). Thanks.

If you are talking about New Holland, then it doesn't have one single thing to do with FORD. New Holland is owned and run by Fiat, and the tractors are made all over the world, depending on model. Do some research at New Holland site. My brother in law will not buy anything but New Holland because he thinks they are Ford tractors.

I come from a farm that has used both for several years now. We have always been a Case Farm but in the last ten years our smaller tractors (less then 80)have been ford. I have a spot in my heart for the case machines but to tell you the truth the Blue tractors have become a very good reliable alternative to the red.

Take a look at the Case IH JX series tractors. Very good tractor for the money.

IMHO there is quite a differance between a real tractor(case) and a wantabe (ford)
