I have seen rubber of diffrent types around steel tractor rims, how much do these cost? are used ones avalible? are they better than the lugs in general?

I assume you are talking about taking lugs off of steel wheel's and bolting strips of rubber on. I have seen a number of wheel's made up like this. Looks like to me that most people just make there own rubber strips out of old tires, but I suppose other sources of rubber could be used also. The steel lugs are much better for traction on dirt, but illegal on paved roads and bridges. People bolt on the rubber to enable them to go on the road and for trailoring so the wheel's won't tear up the wood on the trailor. I'm personally not going to mess with it. I got one tractor on steel and another one on rubber tires. The one on steel wheel's never leaves the farm, and the one on rubber tires does the traveling. I guess my point is, if you take the steel lugs off, you are kind of losing the purpose of even having the steel wheel's. I sure wouldn't have any fun on mine without the steel lugs. Just my 2 cents.
