Hi a guy is interested in some 13.6 28 tires I have. His tractor currently has 12.4 28 tires. Will the 13.6 work ok? Thanks
Matt

I have 60's vintage 2000, 3000, 4000 Fords with original or lookalike fenders. I think the 12.4's look funny so I upped all to 13.6's like them better.

It's been said that the smaller the footprint the better your tractor will pull. I guess I'll agree as it is a pounds/square inch thing which is what you do when you put rear weights on a tractor; you are upping the pounds/square inch.

With that said, 12.4's should give you more traction; course if you fill the larger 13.6's with water solution the converst is true.

Yes they will work on his rims. I had a Ford 801 that had 12.4 on one side and a 13.6 on the other. In fact if clearance isn't a problem the wider ones will provide better traction especially if filled.

I bet they will. I have 16.9x38s on my SC and it was supposed to have either 10s or 11s. Looks funny but the price was just right (free!).
