I have the seat and back pans removed from my Case 1175 tractor and am looking for a firm or firms to do a professional refit of the foam and seat cover.I ask this question because the fabric is attached to the metal pans by a crimped steel band which appears to be sort of a special fastening process. I also need the attaching slide rails that hold down the entire assembly to the floor.

If you're looking for exact original style recovering try Speer cushion in CO. I've had some done at upholstery shop and they are good but don't usually match the original.

I had the seat, back, and arms for my JD 2630 recovered a few years back at my local car trim shop for $80. He only had a black vinyl but it was a heavy material that has shown no wear. I didn't think he could cover it because it had an attachment method I didn't understand, but he surprised me. Check with your local car trim shop, they may be able to do more than you think.

Ol Chief,
I am in North Central Texas, near Weatherford. Get down to Fredericksburg once or twice a year to take visitors to the WWII Pacific Museum there. Thanks for your phone number, may call you if you post a solution. I will check out the local auto upholstery shops here and will let you know if I am successful. Regards.

V.B. Tractor Parts sells a nice canvas one for $12 for large pan seats. I have several of them.

Thanks for the heads up Goofus I do have a few older tractors that need the style of cushion you refer to.However I need a re-do over the existing seat and back, of sponge and vinyl or strong fabric. This is a very expensive seat with five adjustments. Swivel, spring and hyd. shock absorber, weight adj,and everything but cruise control.Dealer price is astronomical!Cannot afford it.I hope someone else has been there & done that. Help!! Please.

My NH dealer sends them out to somewhere. My B-i-L had his little Kubota seat redone like you are saying, think it was $60 or so.

I was gonna look for that, as you could send it direct to the 'nearby' upolstery peron - but I don't know much detail at the moment & my B-i-L is several states away for several weeks....

The dealer is in New Ulm, MN. NH dealer, zip is 56073 you could look them up on NH's dealer locator. Best I can do for the moment.

Paul ;thanks for your reply,I appreciate the help.I am going to my local upholstery shop but do not think they can deal with the problem due to the lower attachment method.
