I have a fairly new 3010 that has two extra hydraulic ports at the back of the tractor...operated by a single self centering lever located just to the right of the seat. I'm wanting to use a 3 pt. hitch mounted log splitter utilizing the tractor's hydraulics, but I've been told my valve setup wont work. Anybody know what's needed to make this work?

I think this one is a 2000. I don't know about the price for a new one. I bought this from a local dealer - it had been on lease to the city parks department and had about 195 hours on it. And if you're ever offered one that has been on lease to any government agency..... ...run!

Is that the 42HP rated New Holland tractor that you have? What does one of those cost new? what year is yours? I have seen it on the new holland website and I have never seen one other than on the website.

Dear Kurt: Our New Holland Dealer in Wis had a 3010S on the lot for about a year. They used it a little bit to move machinery around the lot. No one was interested in it until they advertised it for $11,995. It was gone in about a day. A good website to check New Holland prices is Washington County Tractor in Texas.

It will work, however some won't work external hyds and the three point lift at the same time. If it is a very large cyl. it will rob the tractors oil when extended, but shouldn't be a problem. goof
