I know you can't use motor oil for dust control. Does anyone know of any restrictions of using vegetable oil, such as soybean oil, for dust control? Is there anything that is better that is affordable?

We use a by product from paper production. It looks like tobacco juice. Sets up the road surface a bit and holds the dust.

Here a soybean oil based product is used. Not sure if it's combined with a chloride product or not. County contracts out to a company, land owner contracts with the county.

Cost here is $0.50/ft/yr.... 2 applications/year.

Vegetable oil would be pretty expensive.County sprays a Calcium Chloride solution on some of the gravel roads here to keep dust down.

Well, pretty much _everything_ is regulated so yes there are regulations, but that is what you use. There is some type of soybean cake that you can use, it is vegtable oil yes.

So you ether use water sprinklers or tolerate the dust. Still beats living in parts of Texas, where a tree won't grow, and the rattle snakes walk on stilts to keep out of the hot sand. Some more on Bush below.

Thanks for the feed back. I was a full fledged Bush supporter for he and his dad, but that ended when he appointed the foreign hispanic, from God knows where to the federal judgeship. His reason was because the man has a PHD and such a high IQ. As you can see above the big b ( he named Paul O'Neill the big o) was a C student, and he most likely had access to unlimited resources, money tudors ect. So if that is the case the nation must need a president from India, because it is a well known fact that they are so incredible inteligent. Just ask anyone that owns a Dell computer, and had to call a technition for help, how smart they are. They got off the phone in a hurry. goofus

Which is a shame, we could improve this country alot with some timely border jumpers. Some people have promised to leave and haven't. What a disappointment.

All this bit#hing about jobs leaving then bit#hing about trying to do things to keep them here. YES I do see stupid people, and some of them, they don't even know they are stupid.
