Tell me about coils. Are there differences in six volt coils? Auto-Lite verus Delco Remy. Today at the Napa store they wanted almost $50 for a six volt coil.

Find a local that sells after market tractor parts. New coils sell for less than 20.

Find a old Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth coil. 70s or 80s They used a ballast resister to drop the 12V to 6V at the coil. They usually say 6V right on the coil.

I just took a six volt coil out and replaced it with a twelve volt, but I don't know if I could find it under all the snow now. It's used, but free for the taking (after the snow goes off).

go to your Case dealer as the one they list can be used on 6 or 12 volt, don't remember cost but was cheeper than 60.00.
