Hey guys just had to tell you this story. Tell me what you think of this. Back in the summer of 95 I completed the restoration of my 36' Case RC. That fall I took it to the local show where they were featuring Case. I was approached by a gentleman that asked if I would be interested in having a picture of my tractor taken. This picture would then be used in a calender. What I would get in return was a 4x6 Lithograph of it and 12 free calenders. Sounded fine to me, as I was honored that he thought my tractor was good enough to be in a calender. Late the next summer I recieved the lithograph and calenders as promised. I was even more shocked when I opened the package to reveal my tractor on the cover of the calender. The story should have ended there.

Yesterday morning when my wife was giving me my presents I opened a box and found a tractor print t-shirt. She proceded to explain that she searched on the internet looking for products that had pictures of a 36 Case RC on them. What she found was this shirt. When I looked at the shirt I found that not only was the tractor on the shirt similar to mine, it was in fact MY tractor that was on the shirt.

Apperently somewhere out there someone is making merchandise and selling it to people with a picture of MY tractor. They have changed the background on the picture but I would know the old girl no matter what the background. To make matters worse the shirt is signed by the person who is doing this. Kind of makes me wish I had signed some sort of contract back in 1995 when the pictures were taken. Not that I am really worried about the money, I guess it's just the idea behind it. Just wanted to tell you of my interesting Christmas Day. What do you guys think of all this. Have a good one.

Interesting story but I am wondering, by the time a photo gets transferred onto a T-shirt (by whatever means that is done) and the background is changed, how do you know absolutely for sure that it is your tractor that was being used? Most tractors of the same model (especially if they are restored) look pretty much the same don't they?

You need to get a dirt bag lawyer and sue the guy for damages and pain and suffering and lost royalties. Make up a story that your mother never loved you as a baby, blah, blah, blah. And you might get a million bucks. Just kidding,--it is nice to see your tractor is on T-shirts though
