I got a frame called a Worksaver - from TSC. Made from angle iron, and not a true forklift, but works great for light work. Moves palets, wood fence posts, etc. In the $80 price class.

The bale fork that I purchased from TSC will not accommodate a standard pallet. It is about two inches too wide for the forks to go into the opening.

Perhaps TSC gets locally manufactured forks, so best do some measuring before buying one for pallets.
