I have a friend who has restored a metal flareside wagon and painted it IH red . He is going to pull it with his IH H in parades. He would like any information on these wagons as in our area this type wagon body is very rare. The running gear is rubber tired and has Dearborne stamped on the frame but he thinks its a IHC. It has a slideup tailgate and a standing platform on both sides in the middle and 10 feet long. Did another company make them for IH? Any information would be appreciated. Thank Robert.

We had one when I was a kid, almost 50 years ago :-)

I remember it being Red, but I also think it was a David Bradley.

Been a long time. We used it to haul in the corn crop (ear corn). Had a sliding back door that went all the way across the back and was about 12-18" high. Pulled up on the lever and out comes the corn!

Robert,
I have a metal flareside box painted green and yellow on an IH running gear with spoke wheels on rubber. Check the hubs and you should see the IH emblem cast in the cap. If it is not there, you have a different gear or at least wheels. Merry Christmas! firedog
