I am wondering how do you hook up a battery charger to positive 12 volt ground system? I am also wondering what is the procedure to jump a 12 volt positive ground battery using a 12 volt negative ground system (my car).

Thanks Bill

Respect the polarity : positive to positive and negative to negative; the last jump cable connection should not be done on the battery to avoid sparks near explosive gas(hydrogen).
Play safe with that. Cover battery, wear full face protection, heavy clothes... while boosting !

BTW, make sure any metal parts of the car body(12 V negative gr) don't touch metal parts of the tractor(?)(12 V positive ground), because when any cable from the boosting battery hits the corresponding pole on the boosted battery, you make a short.
Again play safe around batteries, they are small bombs.

I use a small 10 amp charger and when it is unplugged and sparks when you hook it up it is hooked wrong. Make sure the charger button is set to the correct charging position. Usually 6 or 12 volt.
