Funny, 1.5 days after Jean leaves office Saddam is captured. Could they be one and the same?

I cannot understand how in a western country that such a corupt person could stay in office and avoid charges after his retirement. The list of fraud that just the general media published is a scandal. And when he was personaly at risk by the intruder in his residence he hid under his bed while his wife protected him with a soapstone carving as a club.

C'mon now, he's only gone a couple of days and you've forgotten how to spell his name already. Shame on you Manitobians or Manitobites or something like that.

Personally, I think you are giving Jean more credit than he deserves. He would never be smart enough to run 2 countries. He couldn't run Canada!

And besides if he was the same person, all the oil in Irag would have some how been funneled in to Quebec.

Good riddons to bad people on both accounts!

All the various factions that hate us and our life style but when their caught they have american money. Why didnt saddam have a few million in iraq money with his picture on it?

Heck, he had American dollars, hot dogs, 7-Up, candy bars, I don't think he hated the U.S. near as much as he let on. In fact, it sounds like he was a little envious.

No way they could possibly be the same. If our friend Jean had $750000 with him (that's $1 million Canadian), he'd be staying in at least a two room hole-in-the-ground.

Saddam went from 50 palaces to a hole in the groung, unfortunatly Jean Chretian is going into a condo overlooking the river with a fat pension,so I don't think they are the same. His blunder for not helping our friends to the south when all this started is still haunting Canada.Dan in Alberta.

Remember, they only tell us what they want us to know. Saddam was a shister, self center but why was he carrying $750,000 in USD on him? So what was he going to purchase? Also, there can't be that many orange and white taxi's in Irag. Most likely they have been allowing him to manuever around to the opportune time.

According to the news reports, ALL the taxis in Iraq are orange and white. It wouldn't do to drop bombs on them all now would it?
The US $100 bill is the currency of choice worldwide for drug dealers, arms merchants and other ne'er do well types. Also according to various news reports, virtually all blackmarket and underworld transactions are conducted with US $100 bills. Even the bad guys know which currency is accepted everywhere.
