Good Mornin'

I've been goin' as hard as I can on getting this insulation thrown up and still have a long way to go. But, at least now I have my babies inside out of the elements.

Very nasty out there this morning. Its snowin', blowin' and just plain miserable here. Hmmmmm, must be in Nebraska. :>)

Alan,
Wish you would keep your nasty s**t up there but I'm afraid it's coming our way. Supposed to hit this evening with a little rain then turn to snow with 40 mph wind, 1-2 inches by tomorrow p.m. We are just getting dug out from the two storms we had last week. We have about 2 feet of snow on the level with about 5 feet in most east-west roads. I just got home from helping the township grader man put another set of chains on the grader. We had south winds yesterday that closed a lot of roads, again. Three people stuck within two miles of me this a.m. trying to get to work. I could strangle those city folks who have been complaining about not getting the snow we did years ago. I'll take the dry winter anytime (we have cattle). Looks like you have a nice garage/shed to keep things inside. Good luck.

David, I live in South Central KS. We got 9" of snowfall from the second round and a wonderful .80" of rain from the first.

The second snow ended on Saturday, and I've never seen so many school kids out with shovels. I live in town, and I think every one of them was looking for Christmas money. At least they got some exercise and some good honest work.

I haven't seen any specifics on what we will get this round other than what Futurecast gave this morning. That was nothing for us, just ending miles from us was the forecast.

I agree--Allan, kept the nasty stuff and close the north door on all of that wind.

Man you guys make me laugh every time you start talking about snow!!!!! It makes me think of my poor son.
He grew up in deep south Louisiana. (new orleans) Spent 3 years in southern calif. (Camp Pendleton) and almost 1 year in the deserts of Iraq.
Got out the Marines last month and moved to the D.C. area to follow his Marine fiancee. He called the other day saying this is for the birds and that he has the heater on full blast. I think my big tough Marine may have met his match and it is white powder from the sky.
Boy--What a man will not do for the right woman!!!!!

Knock on wood, so far, here in southwest Iowa, we've only had enough snow to make the ground white, not enough to even think about plowing. Much colder than normal though.

Seems like sometimes you get more snow in between the storms. No thanks, you can keep it.
Right now we have over a foot. It's heavy stuff and still coming.

My father and sister live in N.H. No school today due to the storm. I moved to Florida 15 years ago, and they think I'm a crazy!

But Jon,

Think what you are missing!

Now that it has gotten light out, I see the trees are bent horizontal and are now exactly parallel to the driving snow.....aw, the beauty of it all. :>)

I was up there on Thanksgiving, and it snowed the Saturday after. That was enough for the year for me. Besides I get to admire horizontal trees during hurricanes here! (You northern boys can pick on me next summer when its boiling here and nice up there.) The unbearable sweltering heat in Florida lasts only nine months, though.
