Just wondering if anyone has any knowlege on the old Wallis Tractors. I found an old one the other day. It is a small wheatland version, and the serial plate says 20-30 hp. It also says Tractor # 57186. Can anyone tell me anything about this tractor such as year, model etc. Also, where a person might find a few parts if I decide to try to get it running. Thanks alot for any help you can give.

Alsao, the Wallis Bear, and later the Wallis Cub was the FIRST tractor to make a uniframe design, BEFORE Henry and his contribution

To clarify. There were two J. I. Case companies. J. I. Case Threshing Machine Co. and J. I. Case Plow Co. Both were started by ole man J. I. Case. It was the lesser known J. I. Case Plow Co. that was sold to Massey Harris and thus went out of business.

L.I.Case plow works was sold by massy later to J.I.Case Threshing for a profit. Massy keep the rights to wallis tractor. The wallis tractor was the beginning of the massy harris. Have a good Day. Wolfe

Massey sold only the name "J.I.Case" to J.I.Case Threshing Machine Co at about the same time they bought the J.I.Case Plow Works in 1928.

I believe that the Wallis was the grandaddy of the Massey-Harris, if that helps any.
Someone correct me if I am wrong.
