Got my 350 all apart and all I see in the hole where they mention it is a spline coupling for the LPTO. I dont know if that is what they are talking abt or not? Dont see how you could disconnect either way. John

There is a lever on the underside of the transmision. When you move this lever to disconect position. It disconects the PTO shaft from the drive. That way you are not turning the gears inside the PTO unit when not needed.
There is a planet gear and sun gear that run all the time in the PTO unit. Disconecting this saves wear and tear on these parts. At least I think they do. I know some thing is turning in there at all times

Thanks Kelly, I can't find any lever on mine so it must not have been equiped with it,But maybe that is why the PTO driven gear was ate up in this tractor. Or maybe it was the fact water got in in the past and ruted up the bearings. John
