OLIVER CRAWLER AND 70

Today I brought home an oliver crawler MODEL OC-46-3G and serial number 6WR434-ST WHAT YEAR and what exactly do I have?? Also the fellow has an older but rough OLIVER 70 serial number 244140 What year is it??

Stan may be right about track width; however my understanding is that an OC46 designation is for an OC4 with a loader ( usually a Ware) attached. This is the way mine is equipped and ID tag lists it as an OC46, manufactured in l953.

Now that you mention it, I may be backwards on this, I looked in my manual, and mine was an OC-3-68 the 68 was the width of the track. It's tough gettin' old, and losin' your memory. :-P

As far as the crawler go to cletrac.org and you should be able to find out about it. As far as the oliver 70 go to olivertractor.com and you should be able to find out what you want to know there

The 46 indicates the track width, Oliver made 4 different widths, and your's is the second narrowest.
