HELP PLease ...have a 410 backhoe that will go in reverse fine ..but not very good forward low range seems sort of ok but high range will barely work..going forwards...hi backwards is fine what could this be

I would bet money that it going to be a bushing like part in front pressure part of transmission, has I think four small holes for pressure to come out of shaft, and yours is worn letting the oil dump back instead of going on to the clutches. I have been there on that problem. The clutches are most likely ok.

Could be in the shift valve or the forward clutch pack. Go to the book and do a pressure check on the forward/reverse clutch circuit.
