I recently bought a tractor with a Memo (Brand Name) loader. It is not an old loader. Anyone know where I could get any info on it i.e. where it was manufactured, distributor, parts info. etc.
Info appreciated.

They came on Zetor tractors a lot of times, so find a Zetor dealer; chances are he knows of them. Loggers used them but they weren't tough enough to stand abuse & they switched to Allied loaders.

A guy on here from Oklahoma is the only dealer I have found. I got one too, came on a tractor I got 4 years ago. Good loader. They (at least mine) was made in Slovenia.

Parts are outrageous. All metric and of eastern Europeon design. I tried replacing a line and it was over $100 for the line and then freight out of Eastern Europe. Took 9 weeks to get it. Last time I needed parts I went to a local fluid power shop and got 'American' stuff made up with SAE to metric adapters. The mate to that line cost me $35 total that way and I got it in 2 hours. If it is self leveling (mine is) you have got to watch for getting air in the lines. An air lock can rupture a fitting in a heartbeat and it may be you last one. I've got a book on it, if you need infor I'll see if the model # is included.

Regards,
David

Dave,
The loader is an MI or ML 500. I would like to know how to remove and install the loader, as I would like to locate a hayfork for handling round bales intermittently.
If you have such info, it would be much appreciated.
Jim

Thanks very much Dave. I will check for the model number when I go home. Sound like good advice to retrofit to American stuff when I have trouble.
