Has anyone ordered manuals from this website. I wanted to know how useful the service manuals are before I ordered one.

Thanks

I am in total agreement that oem manuals are better as they contain a lot more information, however for those of us who work on several brands and several models of each brand, it is cost prohibitive to buy oem for them all. I&T manuals are geared toward us and contain specs and procedures unique to a specific model. They don't have information that would be considered general or basic mechanical knowledge. According to one of their editors the information they contain is taken directly from the oem manuals. If you only need manuals for one or two of your own tractors, oem is definatly the way to go. Get all three, operators, shop/repair, and parts.

Need to know: what brand/model/year or your tractor?? IT manuals are a poor substitute for real brand name manauls. I have bought real New Holland manuals, real MF manuals, and JD manuals --- all from the dealers. They are excellant. Get 3 of them: Operator Manual, Repair Manual, and Parts Manual. Sound investment.

Quite a few years ago I misplaced the operators manual for my 856 I.H., shortly after that, I was in a farm supply store and found an IT shop manual for this same tractor, now, I thought that the shop manual would surely give me a little more of the technical info I needed for this tractor, Wrong, the original operators manual had much more technical info in it than the IT shop manual. I will not buy another IT manual.

Yes IT manuals are lacking, but far better than nothing.
