Possible Case 660 Combine Project... Advice Needed

(I also posted this in the Case Tractors section)

I recently located a Case 660 Combine (4 cyl. gas engine) not far from our 15 acre farm that I can collect for free. It has a 5" dia. tree growing up through the corn head, so it's been sitting there a while. The bean head is laying on the ground nearby amidst piles of other junk.

It appears to be pretty complete, and has not yet sunk into the ground far enough for the lower sheet metal to touch (and rot). The auger pipe is rusted out on the bottom, though.

I'd be interested in opinions on whether this is a worthwhile project to undertake. Are parts still available for the 660? Ultimately, I'd like a small combine that I can use on several acres of corn/wheat/oats - is the 660 suited to that kind of usage? (I'm still learning farming, having moved to the midwest from the Atlanta, GA suburbs a couple of years ago).

Would also appreciate any suggestions on restarting the engine after it has sat so long (should I determine it's worth a go).

Thanks for any suggestions/input...

I would leave it where it is at myself, they were not a good combine when they were new even, now if had been in a barn, run and looked like almost new, that is a different story, all the one you are talking about is a money pit.

Lots of moving parts on combines. Parked outside
years, and free, is not good enough. As posted
above, were it inside, a better rated machine, it
would have value. In the early 70's, this farm
equipment co.dropped the entire ag line, to focus on farm tractors. Most of these combines can be
where that one is, rusting into the ground. Pass.
