Dripping carburetor

I rebuilt the carburetor for my 1948 Cub. Even so, the gas really pours into it. When it is running the throat is dry but when the engine is turned off, there is a healthy gas drip coming from it. As far as I can tell, the float doesn't leak. Any ideas?

Stephan,
Make sure the float setting is right and that the needle valve/seat is functioning properly.

Jerry; Thank you for your reply. While I was laying in bed this morning I thought exactly of that. It could be something as little as a nick in the valve seat, or - well, I'll just have to recheck the whole rebuild.
