I have 135 massey ferguson with a 3 cylinder perkins. After an hour or so of working this tractor the gas starts to boil in the settling bulb causing the tractor to vapor lock and shut off. Until this happens the tractor runs real well. does anyone know what might be causing this? THANKS, Joe

are you and I the only ones that have seen this? I have a TO 20 and have seen gas boil in the tank. On a hot day it will boil right along. Try adding about 10% diesel.

Wheather it is gas or diesel is the fuel boiling or is air being bubbled through it . air could be drawn in if there is dirt blocking the tank outlet, dirt might build up on the strainer in the tank while in use and fall to the bottom when stopped .Ihope this is of help

Copper fuel line? Missing heat shield? Tractor running too hot? Is the sediment bowl at the tank or at the carburator? Fuel line too close to the exhaust manafold or muffler? One or more of these symtoms is causing the fuel to get too hot either in the tank or in the line going to the sediment bowl.

Good luck
Ben E.

Never come across a gas engine made by Perkins.

Here they are:http://www.perkins.com/Cat_World/assets/media/perkins/Engine_Number_Guide_English2.pdf

Massey used them for a while.

AG3.152, just about the same as the diesel. Water pump and power steering pumps are interchangable.
