Hello,
I have recenlty purchased an 1962 Hough H30 payloader, and there is a loss of power when digging and moving when not on flat ground. My transfer case will not hold any fluid. The reading is off the dipstick when I check it. When I put fluid in it, the fluid leaks from somewhere from the top of the transfer case. My question is If i fix the leak and get the machine to hold transfer case fluid will this fix my power problem?

Not sure what you mean by transfer case. Transmission or torque converter? You need to get the fluid level to the dip stick mark on the transmission before you can do any testing. There are three tests to check before running a stall test to determine the cause of the loss of power. Run tractor to warm oil 150F minimum. Run RPM to 1000 and read the clutch pressure on service gauge attached to center bolt on transmission main valve. If it is less than 170 psi you cannot run the stall test because the clutch will slip and burn the clutch plates. If the clutch pressure is OK than insure converter pressure is at least 50 psi read at the hi pressure port of the pump to pressure regulator and the lube pressure is at leat 10 psi read at the oil supply tap on the front of the 1st gear clutch pack on the front of the transmission. If all of run stall test to see what the result is.
