Does anyone have any suggestions how to get the Ball Nut off of the brake actuating rod on an IH 240-U I've Liquid Wrenched it, WD-40'd it, and even used a 1/2" drive Impact wrench at low setting, and nothing will move that SOB. I have even tried heat, though not a great amount, as I don't want to burn or melt the rubber boot. Any suggestions anyone may have would be helpful.

I heat it up good and hot; try it, if it don't come then let it cool and use penetrating oil. You might cut the boot with your knife and take it off. The worst that can happen is you might have to buy some new parts. IH should still be able to get them.

Thanks Neb Cowman. I guess thats my next route. If I can get it off at the sacrifice of the rubber boot, I shouldn't complain. I have been letting penetrating oil(Liquid Wrench), seep into it all day. Every couple hours I tap it with a hammer, and dribble a little more on it. I'll try the impact wrench at a low setting tomorrow, and if that doesn't work, I'll turn the sucker bright red with the torch.
