You'll have to buy new packing kits for the cylinders. When you get them apart, make sure you check the pistons and cyl. barrels for grooves, and the cyl. shaft should be free of rust, nicks and scratches. The chrome shaft is probably the most important part, even a small nick will cause a considerable loss of oil over time.

As far as putting the packing in, the worst ones are the inside seals in the gland (where the shaft slides in and out). The seals are usually very stiff and require a lot of patience and manipulating to get in the groove. I have soaked seals in hot oil a few times just to make them more flexible and easier to work with. You will probably have to use a couple of screwdrivers to pry the seals in place, just be careful not to damage them. Good luck.
