Need some ideas

I am having two tractors (farmall 400 & an H) and a truck (`53 chevy 3/4) hauled and have run into a slight problem. The equipment is being hauled by a friend of a friend. The guy doing the driving has a 48ft flatbed (70ft total) but does not have any ramps. My thought is to hire a rollback tow truck, load the tractors/truck one at a time and then back up to the trailor and drive onto the flatbed. I just do not know the height of the flatbed or the height of the rollback. Think this will work? Any other ideas? Not much in the way natural banks that the driver of the flatbed could back into and allow me to drive right on around here and not much in the way of businesses with docks that could help either.

To bad you aren't close to me. I built a portable ramp to unload semi trailer. I used it to unload round balers and tractors when they came in. I intended to finish it by putting an adjustable axle on so a fellow could just pick up one end of it by hand a pull it to an awaiting truck instead of picking it up with my old one arm scoopmobile.

Well, how about that? I'm not the only one with a Scoopmobile. I'm in the process of trying to put the throttle pedal on the right and the brake pedal between the throttle and clutch. Mine's a Model H, an older one with 10.00x20 drive tires. The one I have for parts came with 14.00x20 drivers.

Well I wondered if anyone else would have one of these great little Wagner Scoopmobile. I have seen 3 and I have 2. Old red (the one I am using now) has 10.00 X 20 drivers with dual 7.50 X 16 steering. Old yellow (the one I am going to repower with 300 ford engine) has 14.00 X 24 drivers and a single 10.00 X 20.00 steering. Having the gas pedal in the middle is rather odd.

got a pal with a backhoe -dig a pit to back the, flatbed into, as long as the water table is low

Back when (I worked for a Case dealer in the late 70's) we would occasionally use our Schwartz trailer with a beaver tail to transfer to a 40' flat bed. Any thing that will get the height will work. If it's a straight truck with roll back they just need to get the roll back up on the trailer bed or chain it so it doesn't teetor toter when the transfer.

The rollback truck is a good safe way of doing it.
The truck should have hydraulics that will lift up to the trailer so knowing the height of the
trailer is not that important. Trailers seem to
be in the 40" to 48" height with step-decks being
about 30-36". I had a tractor delivered one time
that was unloaded onto a ramp I built from wood
chips and some cement forms. The forms held the chips from crushing too much and I had packed
them down good with another tractor. Ive seen them
unloaded onto wood pallets, sand piles and snow
banks. Tractors are pretty easy because of the
high ground clearence, but that old Chevy will
need some good and stable. Good luck.

Thanks! Did call around and found a guy with a rollback that has done this before. He loaded a tractor into an enclosed trailer that way. Was nice to find a guy that would work with me and has some experience doing this!
