Is there a way to tell what its from or what it will fit or should I just hang it on the wall in the shop. Any ideas?

Hi Mark,

I figured I could get by with a throttle cable hooked up. The link below is to Surplus Center. I remember their catalog offering left, center, and right mounts at one time. Not too sure what this one fits. If you figure it out, please let me know.

Hi Dan,

I hope that's right. Inline 6 that was used in a lot of pickups. Turned out to have a long stroke very close to the one that blew up-unreplaceable. Interesting getting the old flywheel, starting motor, and radiator to line up. All it does is run a large hydraulic pump. I'm not certain I need a governor, but the old engine had one.

You won't need a backup for that engine. Ford 300's are the best motor that ever was built.
good luck
