It is commonly refered to as a dead weight pull, most of them will take X number of pounds, then everyone in the class has a chance to pull it, if you can`t pull it, you are out, after everyone has pulled, they then add more weight, and everyone who is still in, trys again, the ones who can not pull it are out, this keeps going on until no one makes a full pull, then they go by distance pulled for the winner and runner ups. Tug pulling is how that I cut my teeth on pulling back in the late 60s, we had to pull the weight 20 feet, you got 2 chances to pull the weight, if you couldnt do it you were out, it is a fun sort of pulling, takes a long time to pull each class, and a lot of concrete block handling. If you need to know anything else, feel free to email me. John
