Who owns who with the Massey equipment line now? I asked some of the collectors in town and they didn't know or want to answer. They have main street blocked off this weekend in Newcastle the home of Chester D.Massey and where he had his first factory(s).

I went to the show yesterday (Saturday) and it was pretty sad. Only about 20 Masseys on display. Some were really refinished nice though.

I thought it was a poorly organized event. The signage sucked and it was not advertised properly.

My father and father inlaw drove 1.5 hrs to come to it and they were disappointed with the tractor turn out.

Just my 2 cents

I was just talking to one of the organizers at the display field over at the old Cathlic school play ground. He claims SARS did them in. Said there was 65 pieces of equipment on display and sold 320 posters for $5.00 each. Wife wouldn't let me go last night incase there was a beer tent.

Not to sure how they counted 65. Unless more arrived Sat afternoon or on Sunday.

Maybe the SARS thing had something to do with it but lack of advertising had more. I listen to KX96 the local contry station and never heard it advertised.

Not trying to pick a fight here. I am glad that they are happy with the turn out.

Maybe they thought the ballon hovering over the town's main intersection the past week would be enough? Did they put any ads in the local papers and antique equipment mags such as Antique Power?

The last time I had to get parts for my MF, it was AGCO, but who knows now with so many acquisitions happening.
