Finally got to cut something that may make hay instead of 'slime'. Cut 15 acres yesterday and 12 today. It sure felt good. One of those days when everthing when right. Hope everyone else had as much fun today as I did. 70 deg here and 20% humidity. Just felt good to be alive.

First year ever I have been this late on first cutting (this is my 20th crop) and so far put up the worst hay I have ever made. Rolled 300 rolls so far this year and only the 100 that are in the silage bag are worth feeding. Rest might make mulch.

I had a day when every thing went right about 3 years ago, but life is good, I am pushing 61 and can still keep up with the best of them.

I only get one crop, and that's ready about the 3rd week of July. By then it has stopped raining for the next two months, so usually get a good crop.
