Tractor runs beautifully for about 20-25 minutes then stops dead...
After about an hour it will start immediately and run for another round of 25 minutes and stop.

I can repeat the process....

No one seeems to be able to find the problem.
Can you help?

Tractor maintainance has been kept and housed in garage...It's 12 years old and I've spent a mint on repairs....

If it runs good after a while, coughs, sputters, and then dies, I've had the same problem. It's "stuff" in the fuel tank. Your filter will probably get clogged pretty quick. You'll need to clean the fuel tank. Happened to my F525.

Can anyone help me with a question on my STX38. It"s at least 10 years old and all of the sudden when lifting the yellow blade engagement knob/button, nothing happens. I thought it was the belt and replaced it but still nothing. Do these buttons go out wherein I need to replace the whole assy and/or is it likely just an eletrical problem?

I had the same problem with my STX 38. A new coil solved it
