I am looking for anything to do with this tractor, I purchased one for restoration and would appreciate any help or info whatsoever to aid me in this project.

I have a Ransomes MG5 as well.Mine is complete, straight, unrestored. They were made in Ipswich,England for the horticulture farms.I have the original manuals as well. The pictures have the drivers dressed in suits-kind of hilarious. Anything specific? They also made implements-one of which was a sprayer of which there is a picture of a dude in a suit merrily spraying some fruit trees with a wand and NO protection at all.

I am restoring a MG5 and MG40 Ransomes Tractor and have replaced both diaphrams with fuel resistant flexible fabric designed for this purpose. To extend the life I reduced the thickness and used 4 layers. I am interested in swapping pics etc. Have access to manuals which I am currently converting to JPGs
Ransomes are great little machines.
Regards,
Peter

Hi there again, I am looking for a copy of the manual, if you could either scan it or photocopy it and we could arrange a way of getting it to me I would be really grateful, my e mail address is above if you want to contact direct. I am also looking for the metalastic coupling between the engine and the gearbox as the one we have is shredded!!!! I am also after a picture of an original so i can get this back to its original condition etc. In fact anything would be nice!!
are you going to restore yours? or work it?
John
