Just recently the pto on my Cub started running all the time. If I move the switch from off to on and back to off it sometimes slows the pto pulley but always spins back up within 10 - 20 seconds. Anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like your electric clutch is out and sticking.

I'm not sure if electric clutches can be repaired. Short of replacement I have no idea.

I have a cub Cadet 1864 with a clutch PTO problem.
Blades stay on all the time even in reverse and there is a grinding sound up front in the engine housing. My dealer/repair place is telling me that the brand new clutch that they replaced during the winter needs to be replaced again, this due to the fact that the machine was left out in the rain for a long duration. Can rain kill a brand new clutch ? By the way...it was left out in the rain by the dealer during the winter months.....we couldn't pick it up and get it to the shed due to weather on my property so we kept it at the dealer until the weather cleared up.
