You may also want to try a Car Quest #JH234. That is what I ended up getting. It helps to take off the sharp corner on the bottom inside of the cap. As it is a very tight fit to get the cap to seat all the way down, watch for that. Good Luck.

The tractor was built with a Mazda PB 987cc engine. Try a NAPA Echlin #EP710 or a Standard JH234. I believe the same distributor was used in my 1977 Mazda built Ford Courier. For a nice long list of available parts, try Link

Thank you for the responses received today. The tractors that we intend to drive in the USA will be the standard model which has a top speed of about 50 klm/hr. These tractors have been restored and most will be available to be purchased at the completion of the trip.

I have a Satoh Beaver III tractor with a Johnson Work Horse frontloader. I am looking for seal parts for the cylinders, hydraulic pump, and the control. Have some blow-by somewhere, need to fix. Also want to have nearest location in NH for the Satoh parts.

Thanks

I belive a starter for a mazda 1972 model 808 might fit. The starter on my tractor was replaced buy the previous owner with a startor from a mazda car. I think he told me it cost about $70 at a Weatern auto store a few years ago. I replaced an alternator from a '70 s mazda car and It worked perfectly. If you can find a helpful salesman, sometimes he will show you a catalog with pictures. (I think this mazda pb engine was also used in international 284 tractors also.)

Satoh has been out of business since 1980-1982 when it became Mitsubishi which has been out of business since around 1985-1989.

Re: Satoh Carburetor parts:

The 650 has a Nikki carburetor made by NARDEK located in Australia. Get on Google and type: Nikki Carburetor Parts and it will bring up the Name of Nikki along with the company's address, phone number, fax number and their e-mail. Last night I sent an e-mail to Nikki as i have a need for a carburetor kit for my 650G. As of this minute I have not heard from Nikki. I don't know what the time difference is between them and Indiana.

I have the Satoh parts number for the entire carburetor: It is: G489913600E. I will be trying NAPA today to see if they have any help. We Satoh 650G owners need to form a USER's group so we can go on line and find out where all the parts are and if someone has a good used Satoh for sale, let other members know about it.

Good luck! Keep us posted as to the results that you have. Send me an e-mail on what you find out about Nikki.

You can get some parts to these carbs from dealers such as c.h. rinehimer equipment located in berwick, Pa. (717)752-7131 (please note the area code might have changed. try to have numbers and name stamped on the carb ready before call. ask for wayne. He has helped me on several occasions for carb parts. but un fortunately the parts can be very expensive.
