If I can just get 48 more loads I'll have all I need for this year. We can sell rest. The poor little Ford will be glad to hear that.

This is the difference between a truck and a light duty pleasure vehicle. This unit meets all laws and safety codes. This is not a little 3/4 ton pickup. We also are trying to feed America out here efficiently so our those who work a mere 40 hours a week can afford to eat. While my average work week is 80 hours. I don't have the pleasure of playing around I need to be efficient. By the way I have never had a TRUCK need a clutch, brakes, engine, or any other drivetrain repairs. This truck will haul over 1000 tons of feed, 40,000 bushels of grain, and 1,300,000 pounds of Beef this year. If your going to make money with a $50,000 vehicle you need to use it.

Hey Dan!

Help me out here.

The hay was obviously put up wet; do you guys do that on purpose? Is that what they call "balage" that I hear about?

Neat loader. Always thought those Koykers were a good, solid looking outfit.

Thanks,

Allan

This hay tested at 18% moisture. So I wouldn't call it wet. We had a couple good windy days without dew so the color stayed in the hay. Looks more like our 3rd or 4th cuttings in the cooler weather of the fall

If a guy would come out to cent ILL he probley could get all the grass for free he wants since it would save guys from paying to mow water ways thousands of acres of feed just gets chopped up and goes to waste here anymore .

Do I see a couple of dents in your tailgate?

You know Tim, there are only 2 kinds of tailgates. Dented ones and those that will get dented. I'm just fortunate that I put the second date in before the first one was fixed.

At 22,000 lbs I would think that little ford is bit over loaded. Hope you got good brakes on the trailer.
Walt

This load weighs in at 24,500 net 39,000 gross. About 4,000 less than when we pull our grain trailer.

We haul that load with an 82 Dodge 250 with a 318 and a 4-speed or the 98 Cummins 2500 - no dually on our farm!

I'm guessing like us when over loaded you don't run at 90 mph but at tractor speeds.

Well, with the 82 Dodge we usually get up to about 35 or 40 mph in the two-mile haul home. The Cummins probably gets up to 45 mph...

The long hauls we will run 55 mph on the pavement and 45 mph on the gravel.
