My hay was baled two days after it was cut. That's the second time in ten years that it hasn't had to be turned at least once to dry it out. The bales look great. The wevils and leaf hoppers really riddled it so there was only about 2/3 crop left by the time it was cut. Gotta get it sprayed with warrior now or there won't be a second crop. Are the bugs bothering you too? Jim

It is not the norm especially with the 12' haybine. But, we just had a 24 hour 20 plus mph wind with low humidity. I have never seen hay dry so fast. It is 80% alfalfa with some timothy and brome.

Yepper,

We see that sometimes out here in the dry country.

Will dry down and be ready to bale during the next day, but is actually "too dry". So, we wait until 2am the third day for a dew to come down and toughen it back up. :>)
