Navistar with Cat hood and badges. Maxforce engine is a joint effort between Navistar and Cat. Cat no longer makes over the road engines for big trucks.

So Cat really didn't quit making over-the-road engines. They are just calling them Internationals. Saw a Cat truck the other day, for sale on the Cat lot at Effingham Il. Kool!

Cat did quit makin those over rated over priced over the road engines. Couldn't meet emissions requirements.

Cat chose to not meet the emission requirements. All the had to do to meet them was add urea to the exhaust and they were adamant at the time that they would not do so. IH was also adamant that they would not use urea... and is so doing added EGR to the 466 and took one of the most reliable engines on the road and turned it into a heap of crap. That's also what Cat basically did to their big engines... so it's not hard to see why they wanted out.

It looks like a tandem with a pusher axle.
