Finished baling at straight up 8am. Off to the summer fallow and I'm really gonna cut a fat hog today.

How come when something goes wrong, you are always a mile and a half from the place?

I knew I should have replaced that joker when I bought the other one a couple of months ago. :>(

But, Oh Mama! Does that old snake pull now! Amazing what a little tweekin' on the smoke screw will do. :>)

I got lucky a couple years ago- I was plowing under a hay field when all of a sudden I notice a old rusted tooth from the hay rake stuck in the furrow tire. I stopped, p[ulled it out and headed home as quick as I could.

I made it home fast enough (4 mile drive) that the tire was only about 1/4 the way down by the time I got to the shop. jacked it u p, put on the spare, and kept on going. Now that tire is sitting as the spare waiting for the next blow-out.

Allan, look on the bright side it could have been one of the rears, like I was looking at a couple weeks back, but 380.00 and I was back in business. You are getting off real easy on that one.Stan

Don't be talking like that. I just made eye contact with a tube in one of my 18.4-34 duals tonight. I don't wanna change that now cause I gotta take the inners off, mount them for duals, and then buy new inners.... and I don't need the work or expense right now.... and that's going to be a 3 grand plus job with new tubes.

You didn't replace that sucker for the same reason i didn't replace one of the fronts on my NH 7610s with a hole the size of my thumb in it and a really big boot holding that tube back.... cost of rubber!!

had a neighbor with a D21 AC that had the front bearing go out so he chained the front end up and plowed a 1/4 section of corn stalks, ended up twisting the block, guy had a plate in his head and was 6 beers short of a 12 pack! Have more stories pertaining to that joker.

Makes for a whole new tractor don't it. Now add the 3.LS hair dryer and add a nother turn to her . Then if it has not been done yet step up to the B seires pistons and cam and top breather and add a nother twist to the pump or step up to the 13 Millimeter pump.

Well i have been there and done that myself, and no better place than to jack a tractor than out in the fall plowing. At least it wasn't a mud hole.
