CcK,

Can't tell you how low my opinion is of someone posting anonymous threats on a website.

i also have a towbar on a jeep that i yank mostly behind a combine. saves me from driving the combine 20 miles back to the farm when im done at night.

should we put wings on our equipment and get pilots licences or move all our land so its contiguous?

sorry to insult im just very confused. and who bent over to allow these laws to be passed?

I am a fourth generation farmer and an Ohio law enforcement officer.
Thanks for the IP address disclosed in your post.
A tractor is is not a motor vehicle under either Missouri or Ohio motor vehicle law.
Any operation of a tractor on a highway OTHER than moving from field to field or field to home is illegal on both Missouri and Ohio.
Transportation of a tractor by operation on a public highway is illegal in both Missouri and Ohio.
Towing a motor vehicle or a recreational vehicle with a tractor on a public highway in Ohio subjects the operator to possible revocation of his operators' license, seizure of his equipment, civil and/or criminal citations and fines.
Having investigated accidents involving illegal operation of tractors and farm implements for more than 14 years, some involving fatalities, demonstrates the 'common sense' behind the law.
The 'comments' posted on your 'link' can be construed both as a deliberate threat against as private citizen and a law enforcement official.
Care to continue?

Link
if this link works it will show that you are showing part laws to prove you point and not letting anyone know about the other laws that allow farmers to do what the 1st law says they can't
their is also a law that sayd nothing on the roads of missouri can be wider than 8'6",good luck with that one.

I would like to ask what type of law enforcement school would teach there officers to call people names as you have in the past. If you would care to continue to call people names I would like to have your badge number and your commanding officers phone number. I would like to discuss your people skills with him.
My email is open if you care to respond.

Dayton Ohio. I'd be interested in looking up the Ohio code as well. Any statutes covering the farm vehicles can be posted here for all to view.
