I would like to know if anyone has any experience exporting CAT tractors from the US. As of now, the only transport options seem to be strapping the tractor down to a flat rack and putting it on the boat, or disassembling it and stuffing it inside a container....the latter of which I believe would not be preferable. RoRo doesn´t seem to be a viable option in my part of the country (southeast US).

Thanks for your input.

Depending on it's size the railroad may be the cheapest ,since fuel and permits will be required for trucks

You could have it taken right to the port if going on a ship or to the border and dropped to be moved across by an export agent. We really need to know how big this dozer is and where it is going to do a good job of information. If over seas by ship if it would fit in a container it would be the cheapest way I'm told by people that do it all the time. Would probably have the least theaft issues also.
