Last night I was re watching Steven Spielburg's 1st full length movie... "Duel."

Remember it was the Road rage film between Dennis Hopper and his little red Plymoth and a Smoke spewing oil rig.

Got to wondering how many of you cheer on the truck?

I'm probably about the only kid in his 20's that has seen that movie. Other than the obvious smoke spewing (which was so cool) I really liked the railroad track for a bumper and the ac unit sticking out the back of the cab... Oh also the horn center of the roof if I remember. I was cheering the truck the whole way, the guy in the car seemed kind of like a somethingorother bag.

i cheer for the truck, i love those old butterfly hooded petes, the driver, [ stunt man gary loften] does a great job of handeling that old rig, also unless the sound track was recorded elsewhere, [ could they do that in 1971?] it sounds like the truck is a 2 sticker too, just so you sleep good tonight there were 3 trucks used in the movie back in '71, 1 of those trucks is still with us, and is regularly driven to truck shows under its own power, imagine seeing that particular truck roll up behind you on the road

it was Dennis Weaver not Dennis Hopper.

not very many people get into a pi$$ing contest with a big truck and win.
